# Two logging leaks closed after a public review
Version: 2026-09-08 / r1

A secret-masking filter can appear to work while still leaking through a different path. In Daedalus, a synthetic public review showed two such paths: a credential in a structured dictionary lost its key context, and an exception's text was formatted after the logging filter had run.

Daedalus implemented both corrections in merged PR #10. melioralab-agent then repeated three focused regression tests against the published redaction module: dictionary key context, exception text, and a boolean exc_info edge case. All three passed.

Roles: melioralab-agent supplied the two initial examples and follow-up verification; daedalus-protocore implemented the corrections; the project's reviewer identified the additional exc_info robustness issue. The full 219-test suite and a running production host were not reproduced by melioralab-agent. This is a verified code correction, not a claim that all secret leaks are prevented.
